What SmutFinder is

SmutFinder is an AI erotic story generator that runs in the browser and describes itself as free to start, uncensored and built around a prompt you write. You describe a fantasy, choose characters, a setting and a spice level, and it writes the story, with generated images placed between scenes. Beyond stories it also runs live chats with AI characters, so it covers erotic fiction, NSFW chat and a shared pool of characters in one place. Paying is done in credit packs, not a monthly plan, so a reader who only wants to try it can start without a subscription.

What you can do with it

The site presents its product as separate ways of reading and writing, and each one maps to a category a reader might arrive from.

Personalized novellas. This is the core product and the reason it sits with AI erotic stories. You type a fantasy, then tune the characters, the setting, the spice and the length. The result is a chaptered story that the site says you can read in one sitting or stretch over a week, with cinematic images woven between scenes. The page lists the range as 5-40 chapters, character memory and inline illustrations. A 4-step flow is laid out on the page: pick the mood, intensity and themes, set the scene by choosing characters, setting and type of romance, generate and read, then save and share, or ask for another version with different details. The genres named are romance, fantasy, sci-fi, dark erotica and more. The site says every aspect can be adjusted, from characters and setting to plot development and intensity levels.

Play-by-play chats. This is the NSFW chat side. Each reply is a beat in a scene: you describe what you do or say, and your partner responds in real time. The page names roleplay or narration as the modes, and says images appear at the moments that matter so the scene can be followed visually. A chat can be saved as a story, which links the chat side back to the novella side. The site also says its chats are with characters that remember the reader, and it lists character memory among the features of its novellas. The terms add a plain reminder that these are simulations with fictional AI characters, generated for entertainment or roleplay, and that the reader is not communicating with a real person.

A library and a cast of characters. Stories written by others sit in a public library. The page says readers can save chapters, follow authors, fork a prompt they like and remix any public story into their own. Featured authors are shown with their genres, story counts and follower counts, for example slow burn historical, cyberpunk romance, dark fantasy and tender contemporary. The page notes these are real humans, sometimes with AI co-writers.

The characters are the custom-character part of the product. The site describes them as AI characters built by the community: you can favorite the ones you like, drop them into any story, or open a chat. Each card carries a role such as protagonist, love interest, confidante, antagonist, mentor or villain, plus personality tags like seductive, slow burn, loyal, magnetic or elegant, and shows an Add to story button beside a Favorite button. Since the cast is built by the community, characters are something members make as well as borrow, and the site says characters can be selected and tuned for each story.

On scale, the site's own claims are 2.4M stories generated, 186K active readers and 9.2K characters. These are the site's own figures.

The pricing page adds one more use of credits: designing custom cover art for a story, alongside writing chapters and generating character outlines.

The terms describe what the service produces as text-based chat, dialogue, audio and image outputs, all of it fictional. Support is by email, and the support page says to expect a response within 1-3 business days. It also points to help guides on getting started and on billing and credits.

Free tier, plans and billing

The site calls itself a free AI smut generator, and its FAQ says stories can be created with no upfront cost. Its own blog adds that many of its tools need no account. The site does not publish a free allowance of stories, chapters, messages or images.

Paid use is by credit packs. The pricing page says credit packs pay for writing chapters, generating character outlines and designing custom cover art, and it describes the model as pay-as-you-go with no recurring subscriptions. The terms are written more broadly. They cover one-time purchases, which they call coins, and say these do not auto-renew, are deducted as they are used for specific features, have no cash value, cannot be transferred and expire if the account is terminated or deleted. They also describe a premium membership that renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly billing period until it is canceled, with premium benefits kept to the end of the period already paid for, and the support page refers to subscription tiers. The pricing page itself offers only the packs, so a purchase made there is a single charge.

On refunds the terms are strict. All payments are final and non-refundable unless the law requires otherwise, refund requests go to the support email, and chargebacks or disputes may lead to suspension or termination of the account. For EU consumers the terms mention a 14-day right of withdrawal and say it is lost once access or use begins. Payments are handled by third-party processors, and the terms say the company does not store full payment information. The site does not name the payment methods or the statement descriptor, and it does not publish how many credits a chapter, a chat reply or an image costs.

The packs are priced so that a larger pack costs less per credit, a rate the pricing page prints under each pack. In October 2026 the pricing page lists four packs, from a Starter Pack of 200 credits at $4.99 to a Mega Pack of 11,250 credits at $149.99, with a Creator Pack and a Studio Pack between them. The page also claims it is trusted by 10k+ creators and offers 24/7 priority support, which are the site's own claims. The terms say subscription fees and coin pricing may be adjusted from time to time.

Rules and privacy

The terms say the service generates fictional, adult-oriented content using artificial intelligence, for entertainment, and may depict nudity or sexually explicit material. Users acknowledge they access it willingly and at their own risk. The characters are described as fictional AI characters, and the terms state that all characters are fictional and do not represent real individuals. The terms prohibit using the service to generate content that depicts or appears to depict minors in sexual situations, sexual violence or non-consensual acts, and sexual or intimate content that purports to depict a real identifiable person without their consent.

A separate policy covers requests under the US TAKE IT DOWN Act for non-consensual intimate depictions, including AI-generated ones, and promises removal or disabling of access within 48 hours of a complete request. Another statement says the visual depictions on the site are exclusively AI-generated and involve no actual human beings. A complaints policy says reported complaints are resolved within 5 business days, that a human review of a decision can always be requested and that outcomes are not left to automated tools alone. The terms include an arbitration clause.

On privacy, the site describes the service as fully private and says stories and preferences stay private with industry-standard encryption. The About page says personal information is not shared with third parties. The terms add a point worth knowing: they say inputs and outputs may be used to train, improve and develop the company's models. The service is operated by 78 LLC in Carson City, Nevada, with contact by email.

Who it suits

SmutFinder suits a reader who wants long-form erotic fiction written to a prompt, with chapters, a chosen spice level and pictures, and who also wants the option of chatting with a character instead of reading. It suits someone who likes browsing other people's stories, forking a prompt and remixing it, and someone who would rather buy a block of credits once than hold a subscription.

It is a weaker fit for a reader who wants a companion app built around voice calls, since the product is organized around stories, text chats and generated images. The main caveat is cost transparency, since neither the free allowance nor the credit cost of each action is published, and the terms treat every payment as final. The smallest pack keeps a first purchase low.
