What Erota is

Erota is an AI erotic story platform that runs in the browser, with a second address at erota.app. The core tool writes custom explicit stories from a form of choices, and around it sit a roleplay chat, a choose-your-own-adventure mode, a multi-chapter Novel Studio, a characters section and text-to-speech. A newer addition is live 2-way voice chat. The site says free daily credits exist, and a free 7-day trial is offered on each paid membership, so a reader can try it without paying first. The pricing page does not say whether the trial asks for a card.

This is a fit for someone who wants to design a story or a roleplay in detail and read or hear it, rather than someone who wants a single polished image generator. The site's footer states that all content on the site is generated and that all characters are 18 years or older.

What you can do with it

The main story page is a form. The user picks the perspective, from "He", "She" and "They" to "I" and "You" for either a male or female reader, then picks who the story is with. The options named include one woman, a pair of women, a group of women, a trans woman, a pair of trans women, a group of trans women, a man, a pair of men, a group of men, a man and a woman, a husband and wife, and a group of couples. A free-text box lets the user describe sex acts and story themes, and there are fields for ethnicities and names.

Style is a separate control. The writing styles listed are casual, vulgar, biblical, classic, gothic, medieval, poetic and a style that focuses on dialog. Story length is short, medium or long, and the story language can be English, French, Italian, German or Spanish. The user also chooses a model tier named Apprentice, Artisan or Master, where the higher tiers cost more credits. An option adds sex sounds to every new story. A story can be continued after it is written, and the page offers a button to listen to it.

Listening is a text-to-speech feature with named voices, Ethan, Thomas, Scarlett and Isabella, and a choice of Standard or HD sound quality. The pricing page lists text-to-speech as a paid-plan feature.

The Roleplay Chat is a separate section. It offers modes named Adventure, Roleplay, Crafted and Custom, and a browsing grid of scenarios filtered by a long list of tags. The tags include Bondage, BDSM, Domination, Femdom, Submission, Pegging, Trans Woman, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Femboy, Cuckold, Group Sex, Romance and Slow Burn, so the dominance and trans material has real coverage, not a single token entry. Listings in the grid carry a count of images or videos, and a tag marks scenarios that have explicit images. Each card also states the role the user plays and, on many, who the character is, such as a man, a woman, a non-binary person or a trans woman, and the grid ran to 11 pages of scenarios.

The about page says users can "customize characters and scenarios". The navigation lists a Characters section beside the chat, and the chat's Custom mode sits next to the ready-made scenarios.

Live voice chat is announced as new on the main page. The page describes it as live, real-time voice chat with a character, and the banner promotes several characters to call.

Novel Studio writes a multi-chapter novel. The FAQ describes it as an outline followed by chapters, with each chapter costing the model's credits and every regeneration costing new credits. The about page also frames the product more broadly as personalized erotic storytelling, which in practice means the same choices: partners, perspective, theme and style.

Free tier, plans and billing

The structure is simple. Everything runs on credits. As of October 2026 there is a daily free allowance of 15 credits, and paid memberships add monthly credits and access to the stronger Artisan and Master models. The FAQ says a paid member's daily free credits only become active when plan credits run out, that they do not accumulate, and that they expire at the end of the day. Memberships are bought and canceled through the site's Patreon membership page, and the FAQ says only the member can cancel, not Erota. The refund terms are stated and specific. A refund is prorated by the share of the membership already used, or by the share of purchased credits already spent. The FAQ's example is a 30-day membership refunded after 20 days, which returns one third.

In October 2026 the pricing page lists a first tier at $8.9 a month with 200 monthly credits, a middle tier at $13.4 a month with 400 monthly credits and full commercial rights to the generated text and audio, and a top tier at $26.9 a month with 1000 monthly credits and early access to new features.

As the credit table read in October 2026, a story costs 1 credit on an Apprentice model, 2 paid credits on Artisan and 4 paid credits on Master. Listening to a story costs 8 credits at Standard quality, HD costs double, and a novel is charged per chapter at the same rate.

Patreon is the only payment route the site names. As of October 2026 the billing toggle marks quarterly billing at 10% off and yearly billing at 20% off, and the page prints monthly prices only. The FAQ also lists a charge of 1 to 5 credits for each policy violation, so a request that breaks the content rules can cost credits. Support is by email, and the FAQ gives a phone number for urgent matters only.

Rules and privacy

The terms require users to be at least 18, or the age of legal majority where they live if higher. They tell users to avoid depicting minors, defined as real or fictional persons under 18 years old, or animals in sexual contexts. The same clause tells users not to depict violence of any type and names 2 further kinds of extreme material. The terms add an anti-human-trafficking policy and say Erota will not sell user information to third parties. The terms are governed by California law, with disputes going to binding arbitration there.

The FAQ describes a complaints process with a stated resolution time of 7 business days and a separate content removal route. The about page says the platform uses advanced security measures to protect user data and calls the service a private space.

Who it suits

Erota suits a reader who wants a lot of control over a story, from perspective and partner mix to style, language and model tier, and who likes the option of hearing it read aloud or starting a voice chat. The daily free credits make a light, no-spend trial possible, and the refund rule is stated plainly.

It suits less well anyone who dislikes credit math. The free daily allowance only runs when paid credits are gone, higher model tiers and HD audio use credits quickly, and billing runs through Patreon rather than directly. The site does not say how live voice chat is charged.
