What Elyvie is
Elyvie is an AI companion platform where a user chats with original characters who remember them, share photos and build a relationship over time. Its pages say a character can be treated as an AI girlfriend or as an AI companion, and the roster also includes men, presented on a dedicated AI boyfriend page. It runs in a web browser with nothing to download, and chat is also available on Telegram. Text chat is free: on the web a free account has no daily message cap, and on Telegram 60 messages a day are free.
The pages talk about being heard, remembered and met with care, and the FAQ says Elyvie allows creative freedom in conversations, with all content private between the user and the character. On the question of whether it is uncensored, the home page answers that adults who confirm they are 18 or over can have adult conversations with eligible characters, on the web and in the Telegram bot. A reader looking for heavy generation controls will find a chat product with optional photos and voice, not a studio.
What you can do with it
Sign-in is required, through Google or a crypto wallet, and the account is what keeps conversation history, relationship progress and the memories a character builds. From the character directory a user picks someone and starts a conversation. The directory is organized as All, Women, Men and Anime, and each profile gives a job, a city, a daily routine and personality tags. The site calls them its original characters, and its boyfriend page claims 19 ready-made men.
What the site stresses is depth of character. Each character is described as having a handcrafted soul, a written document defining identity, daily life, voice, emotional logic and how the relationship progresses. Characters text in short messages with slang and emojis and can react as happy, stressed, sad, flustered or angry. Relationship progress runs through 5 trust levels, with the how-it-works page naming Stranger, Acquaintance and Friend among them, and the pages say the progress is tied to the conversation and needs no payment. Early on a character is friendly but guarded, and later shares personal stories, vulnerabilities and exclusive photos.
Memory has 2 tiers. Short-term memory keeps a rolling summary of the current conversation, and long-term memory extracts facts such as name, interests and preferences and stores them across sessions. Memories are private to each character. The chat page adds that a user can view the saved memories and delete them one by one, and that in roleplay the character also keeps the story built together, such as setting, backstory, promises and milestones, separately from facts about the user. A user can talk to as many characters as they like, and each keeps its own independent memory.
Media comes from a library and from generation. Characters have a library of selfies, daily-life shots and short video clips that they send for free at suitable trust levels, and the system always prefers that library first. When a character wants to show something not in the library, it can generate a new AI photo from the conversation context. Locked photos in a character's gallery can be opened with credits. Shared media can be downloaded from the chat. The site does not publish a resolution or a style list for generated photos, and the how-it-works page says a message carries at most one piece of media.
Voice is on demand. After sign-in, supported characters have a play button on their replies that reads the written message in the character's voice. Audio never starts by itself and the text stays visible. Only characters with a reviewed voice mapping support it, and the site states that there are no live voice calls. The interface languages are English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese, and characters can chat in all of them.
Users can also create a character. The creation form asks for a name, an age (characters must be 18 or older), a description or tagline, a personality, and a welcome message with tags, and it has an AI Quick Fill that expands a short description. As of October 2026 the Quick Fill button is labeled 10 credits. User-made characters go through human review for age presentation and policy compliance.
Free tier, plans and billing
Durable facts first. There is no subscription. Elyvie says it uses pure pay-as-you-go pricing with no monthly commitment, no auto-renewal and no surprise charges. Text chat, character memory, relationship stages and the photos and clips characters send in chat are free. Credits pay for the extras: AI-generated photos, voice replies after a few free plays, and locked gallery photos. Credits never expire. Payment methods named are credit and debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay through Stripe, and USDT on the Polygon blockchain.
In October 2026 the pricing page says new users get 10 free credits at sign-up and that an AI-generated photo costs 2 credits. Voice replies are free for the first 3 plays on an account, then cost credits per play. The first locked gallery photo opened with each character is free and later ones cost credits. The credit packs come in 4 sizes, from 35 credits at $1.99 up to 480 credits at $19.99, and a first purchase gets a 25% bonus on top of whichever pack is chosen.
On refunds, the policy says credit purchases are generally final because they are delivered at once, though if an image generation fails the credits are returned automatically and a failed voice play is refunded the same way. A card purchase can be refunded within 7 days if none of the credits from that purchase were used, and partial use may get a partial refund at the company's discretion. Crypto refunds, where eligible, are issued as credits rather than back to the wallet, and credits are forfeited if an account is deleted.
Rules and privacy
The site is for adults 18 and over. The content policy prohibits producing, sharing or requesting content depicting minors in sexual or suggestive contexts, and it does not permit characters presented as minors or inviting sexualized minor role-play. It also prohibits using the likeness of real, identifiable individuals in sexual or defamatory contexts without their explicit consent. Moderation relies on human review and user reports sent by email. On privacy, the pages say conversations are private to the account, are not shared, sold or used for AI training, and that card details are handled by Stripe. Account deletion is available from the menu on the web or in the Android app the FAQ mentions, and the FAQ says conversations and memories are erased immediately. The operator named on the refund policy is Run Labs LLC of Sheridan, Wyoming.
Who it suits
Elyvie suits an adult who wants a long conversation with a consistent character, who values a memory they can inspect and prune, and who prefers paying only when they want photos or voice instead of holding a subscription. It also suits someone who wants male characters or anime-style characters in the same app, or who wants to chat from Telegram. Because credits never expire, a light user can buy the smallest pack once and spread it out.
The caveats are real. Generated photos and extra voice plays cost credits, and the refund terms are strict for credits already spent. Voice is limited to supported characters and to playback, with no calls. The product is a companion chat, so a reader who wants a generator with controls over styles, poses or resolution will not find them described. Sign-in through Google or a crypto wallet is required, so chatting starts with an account.
