What Bonbons.ai is

Bonbons.ai is an adult AI companion platform: an AI-powered chat service with customizable virtual characters that the terms call AI Companions. Users talk to them in text and can also reach AI-generated images, audio and other media. It runs as a website with a free account, and the about page invites visitors to start chatting for free and get to know a companion at their own pace. The product is chat first, with paid extras layered on top through credits and a subscription called VIP.

The terms name Tyrell Corporation SA, incorporated in Luxembourg, as the owner and operator, and Luxembourg law governs the agreement. The site's own tagline promises "lifelike text, images, and videos", and its entry screen says the app may include explicit chat, photos and videos and asks every visitor to confirm they are 18 or older.

What you can do with it

The core of the product is conversation. The about page promises dialogue that uses tone and context so that it "evolves naturally", and says interactions unfold over time with a companion. The terms describe the service as chat with customizable virtual characters, and they add that users may access AI-generated images, audio or other digital media. The privacy policy fills in the same picture from the data side: among the usage data it lists are prompts, chat history, voice interactions and image generation history. All interactions with the characters are called purely fictional, and the terms say the companions are digital creations without consciousness, emotions, intent or real-world existence.

Companions are found on a browsing page called Discover. It shows a grid of companion cards with a category filter that starts on All, and each card has a View button. The site's mission statement sums up what it is building as AI companions designed around conversation, continuity and shared experiences.

The feature the site pushes most is Private Stories. The about page describes them as exclusive visual story packs inspired by different themes and settings. Each pack is opened with credits and saved in a private gallery, and the page says the content is stored securely and made to match each companion's style. VIP members receive monthly credits and access to new releases. That makes the visual side a purchase layered on top of free chat: packs are released by the site, opened by the user with credits and kept in the gallery afterward.

A second feature is the journal. The about page says each companion keeps a private journal, a living record of the shared conversations that reflects meaningful moments and insights the user can revisit at any time. That is the product's answer to memory, and it is described in those terms: a record that builds up on its own as the chats go on, which the user can open and read.

The about page also says "The experience is consistent for everyone" and that credits open optional extras, so payment is presented as an addition of credits and releases, not as a different product. Certain features need an account, a paid subscription or both, the terms say. The site does not publish a free message limit.

Behind the product sits a full set of written policies. Beside the terms and the privacy policy, the legal section holds separate documents for credits and virtual currency, automatic renewal, refunds and billing, content standards, complaints and takedown requests, so most questions about money and rules have a page of their own.

Free tier, plans and billing

The durable facts are these. Registration is free, and the site says to start chatting for free. Beyond that there are 2 ways to pay, as the about page puts it: subscribe for a monthly balance of credits, or buy credits when needed. The subscription is called Bonbons VIP, and the terms name Monthly, Quarterly and Annual plans. Credits open extras such as Private Stories. The terms say credits have no monetary value, cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash, resold or exchanged, are not stored value or electronic money, and do not expire while the account remains active.

There is no stand-alone price table. As of October 2026 the only amounts the site publishes are in its terms: a promotional trial of 7 days for 1 USD/EUR/GBP, depending on the place of purchase, which converts to the VIP Monthly plan at 14.99 USD/EUR/GBP per month unless it is canceled before the trial ends. Prices for the quarterly and annual plans and for credit packs are shown at checkout only.

Billing mechanics are documented in more detail than the plans. The Refund and Billing Policy says subscription plans are billed in advance at the frequency chosen at checkout, and credit packs are a one-time purchase at the price shown there. Prices and taxes are displayed before purchase, and the terms say the price shown at checkout includes any applicable VAT or local taxes. After every charge the site sends an electronic receipt that gives the amount, the plan, the billing frequency, the next billing date and a direct link to cancel or manage the subscription. If price, billing frequency or plan terms change, the site says it will notify the user electronically before the change takes effect.

Subscriptions renew until canceled. The policy gives the route: open Account Settings, find the subscription card and click Unsubscribe. Canceling stops future renewals, does not refund earlier charges and keeps VIP access until the end of the current billing period, after which the account returns to the Free plan. A trial that is not canceled in time turns into a paid subscription, and that conversion charge is not eligible for a refund under the standard policy.

In October 2026 the refund policy gives a short window. A subscription or a credit pack can be refunded on request within 24 hours of payment, and only if it was paid by card. A subscription refund is refused if more than 20 credits were used in the period, and a credit pack refund is refused if any credit from the pack was used. Problems that began on the user's side, such as a device or network issue, are also excluded. Requests go to support by email, and the policy says it aims to answer within 48 hours. The policy then lists statutory rights by place, among them a 14-day withdrawal right for users in the European Union and the United Kingdom, subject to a consent box at checkout, a 7-day right in Brazil, and notice rules for California and Quebec renewals. The privacy policy names Stripe, EMP and Volt as examples of its payment processors. No statement descriptor is given.

Rules and privacy

The terms say the service is strictly for adults, 18 or the local age of majority if higher, and that an account can be suspended or ended if someone below that age is found using it. The acceptable use section prohibits attempts to create, simulate or depict minors in sexual or exploitative contexts, and it prohibits impersonating real individuals, including public figures. The terms state that companions are fictional digital constructs that do not represent real individuals. Automated and manual moderation enforce the rules, attempts to jailbreak the models are banned, and violations can lead to content deletion, suspension, permanent termination or a report to the authorities.

The privacy policy cites GDPR, UK GDPR and the Swiss data protection act. It says personal data is not sold. Retention periods are listed: account data is kept for 3 to 5 years after closure and payment data for 7 years. An account can be deleted from Account Settings, which the billing policy calls irreversible, and deletion of data can be requested subject to legal retention duties. 2 points deserve a read before signing up. Creating an account counts as consent to marketing email, with an unsubscribe link in each message, and the license a user grants over their content covers training the company's models and marketing; the terms say a user can opt out of the marketing use by writing to support. The site says conversations are protected by secure encryption.

Who it suits

Bonbons.ai fits an adult who wants a chat companion with a private journal and optional paid visual packs, and who is happy to start with a free account and see how it feels. The trial is a low-cost way in, provided the buyer remembers that it converts to the monthly plan on its own. It is a weaker fit for anyone who wants the full price ladder before registering, since the longer plans and the credit packs are priced at checkout, or for someone whose main interest is something other than conversation, since the visual side is sold as released packs. The 24-hour refund window and the credit-use limits mean a buyer should decide quickly and spend carefully. People who object to their content being used for training should read the license section of the terms first.
