What Erogen is
Erogen is an AI chat and roleplay platform for adults that describes itself as "the home of AI adult romance". It runs in the web browser, hosts characters made by its creators, and adds a studio for generating images and video. It can be used free: the FAQ says free users can chat with companions for up to 600 messages a day, though the messages are rationed through the day.
There is no iOS or Android app. The site says it is deliberately outside the app stores and recommends adding the website to the phone's home screen so it behaves like a native app. A reader who wants a long chat with memory settings, voice calls and a character builder will find all three here; a reader who wants only a quick image generator will find the studio, but the chat is the center of the product.
What you can do with it
The basic session is a chat with a character. The site has Characters, Explore, Feed and Matchmaker sections, and each character keeps its own model and behavior settings, so intensity, pacing and personality can be tuned per relationship. The explore page filters by tags that include Female, Male, Straight, Gay, Lesbian, Anime, Realistic, Romance, BDSM, Action, Space, Magic, Hero, Villain, Royalty, Historical, Elf, Monster, Android, Tsundere, Yandere and Femboy. That tag list is why the same product turns up under hentai, boyfriend and femdom searches. The home page features a male lead named Josh and a character introduced as a femdom psychologist named Katrin, alongside a female lead named Kaia.
Characters are made by creators. The character creator lets users build and manage their own, and the plans page lists how many a user may create on each tier. Creator analytics on the top tier show usage metrics, and the site says they never reveal chat messages or identifying user information. Contests run on set themes, and the home page features one called Obsessed ending October 18.
Roleplay controls include user personas, which let you play different versions of yourself per character, and AI-initiated messages on Platinum, where a character introduces itself or writes first after you have been away. If the AI drifts out of character, the FAQ suggests an out-of-character prompt in the form "(OOC: [your message here])", and it says that works only sometimes.
Memory has two layers. Context memory is the recent window the model sees: 4K on the free tier, 8K on Silver, 16K on Platinum. Core memory slots are the long-term layer, where scenes, relationships or traits are pinned manually or saved by the AI during roleplay. Free has none, Silver has 8 slots and Platinum has 24. The FAQ is candid that the model can misremember the past because of a repetition penalty that keeps it from repeating itself.
Voice comes in three forms. Voice messages let you speak instead of typing, and they are converted to text. AI voice reads a character's replies aloud, either on a trigger or automatically with the auto-voice option, using voices that match the personality. AI phone calls run real-time voice calls with a character.
Audio stories are an AI-generated erotica feature in beta, shown as chaptered episodes for Kaia. The plans page says the first 3 story episodes are free per character, and later episodes are paid for in credits, singly or as a pass for one character.
Media is the second pillar. Erogen Studio is described as a place to create uncensored images and videos, with a studio gallery. Inside chat, the paid tiers can animate chat images into video clips with optional AI sound, and character selfies draw on credits. The plans page also lists media credits to spend on videos and images. It describes the clips as short, made at 480p or 720p and priced in credits by the second, with AI sound as an extra. Help with bugs and questions is handled in the site's Discord community, according to the FAQ.
Free tier, plans and billing
There are three tiers: Free, Silver and Platinum. The free tier gives chat at slow AI speed on the default model, a 1 year chat history, 40 voice messages a day, a small monthly media credit allowance and the first story episodes. A footnote says free users get 75 messages every 3 hours, a shared cap that keeps the platform fast. Silver and Platinum remove the message cap, speed up the AI, open up more advanced models, lengthen memory, make chat history unlimited and add private characters. Platinum adds the most advanced models, ultra fast speed, AI-initiated messages, creator analytics and early access to beta features.
Credits are a separate currency inside the subscription, and the plans page calls them the single currency for media generation. Credits arrive monthly and add up, never expire, and stay in the balance even if the subscription ends. Subscribers can buy one-off top-ups that join the same balance. Calls, selfies and voice all draw from the same pool. Silver and Platinum also earn loyalty bonuses of extra credits after 3 and 6 continuous months and a free month of credits on each anniversary, for active renewing subscriptions; a lapse restarts the clock. Both paid tiers are sold for terms of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, and the page notes that fees and taxes may be added to the listed price.
In October 2026 the plans page lists Silver at $15 a month and Platinum at $35 a month. Silver includes 1,000 credits a month, and Platinum includes 5,000.
Phone calls are charged per minute and AI voice per message, both in credits, and a spoken message is paid for once, with replays free. As of October 2026 the plans page prices calls at 10 credits per minute, AI voice at 5 credits per message and a generated image at 20 credits, and it says free accounts start each month with at least 20 credits to try media generation.
Payment options on the plans page are card payment and crypto (BTC, ETH, USDT and more). Membership keys from G2A can also be redeemed. The billing support page names Epoch, CCBill and Centrobill as billing providers, and says the email receipt or bank statement shows which one handled a payment. Membership time bought through G2A does not expire and is not eligible for exchange or refund. Cancellation is in account settings, and premium access runs to the end of the current billing period. Crypto plans paid on Ethereum, Polygon or Avalanche renew automatically through a wallet spending allowance that you revoke to stop renewal; other crypto payments are one-time. The refund policy allows refunds within 30 days of purchase if no message has been sent and no image generated since the purchase, with proof of purchase, processed in 7 to 10 business days. Requests go to the support email, which the billing page says typically answers within 24 hours.
Rules and privacy
The site says it allows NSFW conversations with "a few sensible restrictions" set out in its community guidelines. The terms prohibit creating content that depicts minors or persons who appear to be minors in sexual or exploitative situations. A separate statement says every visual on the site is computer-generated, with no photographs or films of actual people, and the anti-trafficking page says all characters and content are AI-generated with no real performers. Reports can be filed from any character or by email without an account, and the site says they are reviewed and resolved within 5 business days. Creators can appeal a removal, and a dispute over consent that review cannot settle goes to a neutral third party at the site's expense. Accounts can be deleted from settings. The terms are governed by Delaware law and send disputes to binding arbitration after a period of informal negotiation. The record-keeping statement names Corinth LLC in Sheridan, Wyoming as holder of the exemption records.
Who it suits
Erogen suits someone who wants a roleplay-first companion with serious memory controls, voice calls, a catalog of creator-made characters and a studio for images and video, and who is happy to pay by card or crypto. The free tier allows long daily use, though the 75-message window and slow speed will be felt in a long session.
It suits less well anyone who needs an app-store app, since there is none, or who wants the whole experience for one flat fee, because calls, voice, selfies and media draw on credits on top of the plan.
